Dr. Li received his PhD from National University of Singapore in 2006. From 2007 to 2010 he was a research fellow in the e-Research Group, the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. During that time he worked on the BioMANTA project, developing a distributed RDF triple store and SPARQL query engine. He also worked as the lead developer and researcher on the PODD project, building a novel ontology-based scientific data management system.
In 2011 he took a Lecturer position at the Faculty of IT, Monash University. He teaches software engineering subjects, including software testing and formal methods.
Yuan-Fang Li's research interests are in the Semantic Web (ontology languages, query answering and knowledge representation), software engineering (formal methods, theorem proving and software product line) and their application to other domains.
