Natural diagram and table interfaces to graph and semi-structured databases

New kinds of graph databases, such as the database system YesData being developed by YesLogic, allow data to be stored with minimal pre-defined structure. While they are considerably more flexible than standard relational database systems, they still require considerable expertise to use and maintain. The aim of this project is to develop visual tools that provide a natural and intuitive interface for YesData that can easily be utilized by non-experts. Such an interface should not require textual programming or knowledge of the underlying storage format and will be designed with the needs and capabilities of small to medium enterprises in mind.
