FloodScope

FloodScope applies the techniques developed in the Temporal Earth project to representing flood risk in the coastal community of Lakes Entrance, Victoria.

Instead of simple static flood-envelopes, FloodScope presents a dynamic envelope that can be manipulated using a virtual flood meter. Other layers of information can be overlaid, including photos of previous flood events with their corresponding ground-extents and flooding level. Finally, the impact of climate change on flood risk can be explored using a timeline offering a choice of three scenarios for how sea level will rise between now and 2100. Developed by Matthew Coller using Adobe Flash.
